EXPERIENCE SOMETHING CREATIVE AT ARTS DISTRICT LIBERTY STATION

This popular free arts event takes place on the First Friday of every month from 5-9 pm throughout the 28 acre campus. After 10 years, it has grown into San Diego’s biggest innovative arts event! Meet working artists, enjoy dance, theatre and music performances featuring community partners and discover intriguing public art installations. Wander and explore the galleries, museums, artist studios, distinctive shops and dining at historic Liberty Station.

Special quarterly FIRST FRIDAY events will be (((amplified))) with the addition of the highly successful Liberty Station Concerts in partnership with Beer, Food and Music, a pop-up market produced by The Local Bazaar, a Beer Garden, plus so much more! Celebrate Summer at First Friday ARTS DISTRICT with creative experiences on July 5th! During San Diego’s biggest month art walk, guests can enjoy performances, make art, see new art exhibitions, and so much more!

NORTH PROMENADE
THEATRE | Vanguard at Westminster Theater showcases excerpts from Wizard of OZ. Performances at 5 PM & 6 PM on the North Promenade Stage.

THEATRE | New Match Collective, in residence at Theatre Arts School of San Diego showcases excerpts of their upcoming production, Antony and Cleopatra. Performances at 6:45 PM & 7:15 PM on Barracks 17 Plaza.

DANCE| Britton’s Dance Project features Stephanie Britton’s modern-contemporary dance company. Performances 5:30 PM & 7 PM on the grassy North Promenade by the fountain.

DANCE | Ka Lei Aloha O Hula showcases halau hula dedicated to the perpetuation of traditional Hawaiian Dance. Performances 6:30 PM & 7:30 PM on the grassy North Promenade by the fountain.

GALLERY | Martha Pace Swift Gallery a public space gallery dedicated to art that reflects and responds on the human condition. Open 5 – 9 PM in Bldg. 201, second floor – 2820 Roosevelt Rd.

ART SHOW | Pinot’s Palette, San Diego-Liberty Station invites guests to meet their talented art instructors and see their original artworks! Complimentary h’ors d’oeurvres and wine and beer for purchase, with Happy Hour from 5-6 PM. Open 5 – 9 PM in Bldg. 201 – 2820 Roosevelt Rd.

NEW EXHIBIT | Visions Art Museum invites guests to enjoy a walk In the Garden! Artists from Australia, Taiwan and USA bring gardens to indoor spaces with contemporary quilts and wearable items. 5 – 8 PM in Building 202 – 2825 Dewey Rd.

NEW EXHIBIT | The San Diego Watercolor Society presents “Fruitful Directions” a new art exhibition juried by award-winning artist Chuck McPherson. Opening Reception 5 – 8 PM in Building 202 – 2825 Dewey Rd.

GUEST ARTIST | Michele Goodwin‘s MKGoodwin Fine Art hosts artist Garrett Goodwin showcasing original sculptures and paintings. 5 – 9 PM in Barracks 19, second floor.

ART | Susan Salazar and Lisa Bryson Artists Studio open gallery with working artists drawing and painting. 5 – 9 PM in Barracks 19, second floor.
