Join ARTS DISTRICT Liberty Station for the biggest arts weekend of the year. On Saturday, August 10 from 3 – 6 PM guests are invited to enjoy a free ARTS DISTRICT (((amplified))) Concert featuring Ben Powell plus Nathan & Jesse on the grassy North Promenade between Stone Brewing and the Greetings Tour mural. While enjoying sunshine and music stroll over to ArtWalk on Ingram Plaza, meet Installation artist Miki Iwasaki at the Mingei booth, as well as explore the 100+ resident art groups at ARTS DISTRICT.

While enjoying sunshine and music stroll over to the ArtWalk on Ingram Plaza as well as explore the 100+ resident art groups at ARTS DISTRICT.

Concert Headliner: Temecula based jazzy folk duo Nathan & Jess infuse their music with a spirit of beauty, spontaneity, dance, and jazz improvisation! ​Their performances not only include unique all original music, but stories of their travels and interaction with the audience that make for an unforgettable experience.

Concert Opener: Ben Powell’s shows are high energy and uplifting. Powell is a one man band of years past, but with a fresh, new, vibrant sound. He has created a truly unique sound playing his resonator guitars, a homemade winebox footboard, harmonica, and singing old style blues and original tune.

Installation at the Station: Unveiling of “Facetime” by Miki Iwasaki
Join even more festivities on Saturday, August 10 from 12:00 – 2:00 PM  and see the unveiling of “Facetime” by Woodbury University San Diego, School of Architecture faculty member,  Miki Iwasaki, the newest “Installation at the Station” art project. The Mingei International Museum booth at Artwalk will present an art-making activity open to all.  Participants will learn about the sculpture’s meaning – representing a primal need for shelter and conversation.

ArtWalk @ Liberty Station In 2019, ArtWalk @ Liberty Station celebrates 14 years of bringing visual arts, music, and interactive art-making for families to San Diego in beautiful Ingram Plaza at the Arts District at Liberty Station. The ARTS DISTRICT  at Liberty Station has blossomed into San Diego’s premier venue for the arts, museums, dining and entertainment. The beautiful outdoor setting, surrounding a picturesque rose garden, is flat, grassy, and easily accessible for both artists and attendees. ArtWalk @ Liberty Station also features a shaded wine and beer pavilion and a street food area.
