Visions Museum of Textile Art:

The Executive Director, Visions Museum of Textile Art (VMOTA), is responsible for the leadership of VMOTA, including planning, organizing, and directing all departments and programs with the goal of organizational and financial success and sustainability. The Executive Director oversees creation of innovative textile exhibits and meaningful educational programs worthy of an international museum.  He/she will be skilled in fundraising and community outreach, must have an analytical and strategic mindset and a broad understanding of non-profit operations. The ED will inherit a relatively new, yet highly motivated staff, eager to grow the infrastructure and impact of textile arts throughout the region. The Director of Operations, Visions Museum of Textile Art (VMOTA), will spearhead the smooth operation and functioning of the VMOTA during a time of growth and change. The successful candidate will have this unusual combination of skills: a big-picture strategy combined with the ability to implement solutions using a diverse set of tools, as well as the ability to effectively communicate complex processes in an understandable way. This position will identify and adopt technological solutions that maximize productivity and streamline processes designed to keep staff and committees working efficiently toward the same goals. The Curatorial & Education Manager, Visions Museum of Textile Art (VMOTA), will be responsible for managing museum exhibits, overseeing education activities, and acquisition of new collections in alignment with VMOTA’s mission. He/she will have a combination of skills that includes big-picture strategy, organizing quarterly exhibitions, and hosting educational programs. The candidate must have the ability to engage and connect with artists, volunteers, partners, and funders. The successful candidate will help acquire and arrange exciting and innovative textile art exhibits to inform, educate, and inspire the public and the arts community, and stay abreast of innovative trends among recognized and emerging textile artists locally and internationally.  Job Description Link
